Short version: every brand here belongs to somebody else, we are not connected to any of them, and our recipes are ours.

Why brand names appear
You cannot write about a Big Mac without using the words "Big Mac". Brand names and menu item names appear on this site for identification, comparison and commentary - to say which thing a recipe is a copy of, which chain a menu belongs to, and which item a price refers to. That is nominative use, and it is what makes it possible to write about products at all.
We use brand names no more than is needed to identify what is being discussed, we do not use them in a way that suggests a relationship that does not exist, and we do not present any brand's marks as our own.
Our recipes are ours
The recipes on this site are original interpretations and independent editorial formulations. They are not the restaurants' formulas, we do not have the restaurants' formulas, and we do not claim to. References to a chain identify the product being interpreted; they do not claim access to a trade secret or a relationship with the brand. Any page that claims a documented cooking or comparison test must also meet our verification standard.
Where a chain publishes an ingredient list, we may use that public information and identify the source on the page when it materially supports the method.
Logos
Where a chain's logo appears on this site it appears at small size, unmodified, for identification of that chain's own pages, and it remains the property of its owner. We do not incorporate any chain's marks into our own branding, and the food.fast logo is original artwork.
Images
Food and editorial hero images on this site are AI-generated illustrations created for food.fast and labelled on the pages where they appear. They are not photographic evidence that a recipe was prepared or tested. They do not depict the chains' actual products or reproduce chain packaging, trade dress or menu photography.

If you believe something on this site uses your marks incorrectly, write to us through the contact page with the specific page and the specific concern, and we will look at it properly and quickly. We would rather fix something than argue about it.
